It’s amazing how you learn things as you get older, in some ways the saying “youth is wasted on the young” is very apt. The older I get, the more I appreciate my family. There is absolutely no-one in life, not even your spouse, who will ever think you as wonderful as your parents do, or be so willing to forgive and to overlook your “personality defects”.
I just discovered that I had unfollowed one of my favourite blogs and tumblr friends - if for some strange reason I have not been liking your photo’s since I’ve been back on this tumblr since yesterday and I have unfollowed you, please let me know.
Btw - the first two aloe photo’s I took during our Saturday morning explorations while at the Cape Point Ostrich Farm. I didn’t take any pics of the ostriches, it was too cold and windy outside to try and attempt any halfway decent shots with my iPhone. Anyhow, there was a shop there selling various ostrich products, and I had fun trying on a few beautiful ostrich feather boas, so soft and silky, I felt just like Shirley Bassey. I nearly started to belt out “This is my Life” but thought the better of it as I didn’t want to give any of the international tourists there a bad experience of South Africa. The boas were rather expensive at R500 - tourist prices, although my husband kindly offered to buy me one, I thought it would just be a waste of money, and to be honest even though he said they looked nice on me, and I did feel fabulously glamorous wearing one, I don’t think I’d ever have the guts to wear one out past the front door. Although who knows……never say never!!!!!!
